Sofia’s Fall
Artist's book, third and final volume
The concluding volume of Nike’s A Trilogy of Thoughts, Sofia’s Fall draws inspiration from ancient Gnostic texts to explore the creation of the universe through the story of Sofia, the goddess of Wisdom. Her solitary act of creation gives rise to life, matter and the duality of existence, reflecting on the origins of human imperfection, the relationship between creation and suffering, and the search for redemption.
